Centre for Fashion Enterprise, based at London College of Fashion, is a vital new force in the capital that builds new fashion ventures. London is renowned worldwide, for attracting and producing outstanding fashion 'creatives'. The aim of the Centre is to support the very best of this talent in helping them build successful fashion companies.

Inspirational designers are continually drawn to London. CFE's mission is to ensure that this talent remains in London and thrives, while developing global brands and businesses that attract worldwide recognition from industry, media and retailers.

Potential new designers need to be based in London and demonstrate extraordinary talent, originality, vision, motivation and a viable business venture that will be supported by this unique organisation.

The Centre for Fashion Enterprise is in partnership with, and funded by the London Development Agency.  The Centre is based at and supported by London College of Fashion and also has funding from HEIF and scholarships from NESTA's Graduate Pioneer Programme. Since its launch in March 2003, CFE has built strategic relationships with Dow Fiber Solutions and GenArt.

These associations, coupled with the resources of CFE, including it's prestigious advisory board and mentoring from industry luminaries, will help achieve the vision of building the next generation of highly successful luxury fashion companies.

Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) identifies talented fashion designers who are in the process of creating a new fashion company in London.

The Centre provides access to critical resources needed to build the foundation for a new thriving fashion label including: funds to develop new collections; PR, marketing and sales support; manufacturing links; strategic advice, business planning, accounting; and access to potential investors. The focus is on creating commercially viable and sustainable new fashion businesses.

The Centre sources grants and seed funding for fashion start-ups through individual investors and government agencies who support the development of the British fashion industry.

The CFE advisory board comprised of prominent members of industry representing: retail; global fashion brands; media, advertising and PR firms, provides strategic guidance to the Centre.
