A brilliant day out at the Soundshell. 

Napier’s iconic Soundshell on Marine Parade will play host to the final act in City Showcase: New Zealand. 

Hosted by The Radio Network's presenters, Sarah van der Kley, Darryl Mallett, Ritchell Maxwell and Mark Bramley with live music from Lisa Crawley, Phil Edwards Band, Soljah, Autozamm, I am Giant plus acts voted through by the public - successful acts ARE Horusset, Jess Atkin & Dave Atkin Band, Kotadama,Talita Summer.

Finding the Future will feature the top acts chosen by the public from those performing over the previous days.  They will be joined by the winners of the Radio Network competition winners, Phil Edwards Band.

These new and emerging bands will be endorsed by headliners, Lisa Crawley and Autozamm with I am Giant, who are fast becoming the name on people’s lips.  I am Giant are London-based, so a great opportunity to see them back on home soil. 

The applicant bands will perform in front of a mic’d up industry panel, including Campbell Smith (CEO of The Recording Industry Association of New Zealand Inc (RIANZ), who also has his own Management Company, CRS Music Management Limited), Ian James (Managing Director, Mushroom Music Publishing, Australia and recipient of a Midem Masters Award) and Mike Chunn (CEO of the Play It Strange Trust which implements music programmes for New Zealand school and former member of the New Zealand bands Split Enz and Citizen Band) and Teresa Patterson the Manager of the headline act, I am Giant.  The ultimate winner will be invited to travel to London to play City Showcase in London in May 2011.

Free entry to wristband holders.  Remember entry is on a first come first served basis, so be early so as not to be disappointed!  There will be wristbands available to buy (cash only) on the door on the day.
