ArtForm: CityShowcase Act/Composer

LOKANDES, is the combination of two words: 'Crazy' and 'Andes' which represents the intention of our music - crazy music from the Andes -. This project was started in London, during December 2007, by Karlos Saldaña and Alex Alfaro. This project aims to create Alternative music with roots from traditional Andean music.

In 2009, LOKANDES entered its second phase under the new name 'LOKANDES PROJECT' as well as completing the band line up with musicians from different parts of the world. The LOKANDES PROJECT is now known to fuse Afro-Adean music with other contemporary music styles such as Funk, Latin, Reggae, Jazz, etc.

LOKANDES PROJECT aims to bring its audiences original music with socially conscious lyrics, at the same time bringing awareness to Latin-American cultures.
