Dj Trol

ArtForm: CityShowcase Act/Composer

His debut behind the dexs started up in 1997 when he slowly took part of the French local Techno scene.

Always supporting the most meaningful side of Electronic music, Dj Trol was very keen on playing both Drum’n’bass and Techno, bringing up a unique blend of grooves and basslines. Being based right in the German and Swiss borders gave him the opportunity to play to well-educated music fanatics in many clubs around. We all know about Germany for its musical legacy and this is where Trol got his education from, long before it became mainstream. Crossing regularly the borders also teaches him invaluable experience on how to read a crowd.

Looking for new challenges and experiences, he moved to London in 2003 and first settles in the underground world of sound systems and warehouse parties. Being involved with Acme Soundz and Family Groove took him gradually to play alongside heroes (Ed Rush, Bad Company, Grooverider, Noisia, Cause4Concern, Joey Beltram, Marco Remus, Black Sun Empire, Vicious Circle, Dj Rush, Miss Djax, Dave the Drummer, Eric Sneo, Bryan Gee, Valentino Kanzyani, Umek, Lenny Dee, Dj Bone,.) in some of the best venues in town and abroad. Dj Mag picked one of his mixes for its Raw talent competition, and to this day we can still listen to some recorded sets on US radio

Nowadays Deep House-Techno is the main focus of his Dj sets and studio work. Lots of efforts are made learning the art of music making, gaining a diploma from SAE institute and currently finishing a degree in Music Technology – Part of the Rejam collective, Trol is also helping and supporting the vibrant House and Techno underground scene to put on regular events and spreading quality music on a weekly radio show focusing on the most forward thinking meaningful grooves.
