David Ryan Jordan is Membership Representative – ASCAP London

David started his music career as a musician and songwriter in the indie rock band Air Traffic. The band were signed to major label EMI records and Warner Chappell publishing. The band achieved 3 top 40 singles and toured the U.K and America extensively with the likes of Snow Patrol and Elbow. The band also appeared on the famous Later with Jools Holland show and played every major European festival including V festival, T in the park, Rock Werchter (Belgium), Lattitude and Lowlands (Holland).

In 2008 David left the band to forge a career in Artist and Producer Management. David worked alongside well known producer David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything, Gulliemots) managing and developing new artists.

In 2009 David went to work at Taste Music Publishing/ SJP Producer Management, home to the rock band Muse and Legendary British Producer John Leckie (Radiohead, Stone Roses, The Verve).

In 2012 David joined ASCAP (American Society Of Composers, Authors and Publishers) and covers UK membership.  ASCAP protects the rights of its members by licensing and distributing royalties for the non-dramatic public performances of their copyrighted works. ASCAP is the only American Performance Rights Organisation owned and governed by its writer and publisher members.
