Emma Hamshare is an award-winning conceptual fashion and textile designer, her label äelska is a wearable exploration into purity, harmony and symbolism.

Emma creates beautiful garments, textile artwork and accessories and specialises in intricate laser cut lace and digital textile projects. Her work ranges from large scale commissions for conceptual art installations to small pieces made using vintage lace.

Emma graduated from the London College of Fashion with first class Honours and achieved scholarship status. She has exhibited artwork at Tate Modern special events, undertaken a collaborative residency for Chelsea College of Art, set up a pop-up shop and recently won the Cockpit Arts/Radcliffe Award.
